Founded in 1994 by Calvin Ayre, Bodog Entertainment opened Bodog Sportsbook. In 1999, the
Bodog Casino was born. Finally in 2004, Bodog Poker jumped onto the scene with a flashy new
poker room that offered many tournament prize-pool overlays with weak players that streamed in
from the Sportsbook and Casino. It has just been announced that the Bodog name brand has
changed to Bovada Poker, as far its US operation is concerned, while its Bodog name will still
remain the same for the rest of the world.
The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) has held the licensing rights to the Bodog brand in
the US since 2006, when the Bodog gaming organization withdrew from the huge market
following the passage of the SAFE Port Act. The MMGG will continue to operate the new site
Bovada.lv, and offer a range of online gambling services, including online poker, horse racing,
online casino and sports betting.
Bovada's exciting and fast-growing multi-player online poker community features Texas Holdem,
Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud, and 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo.
The tables are very loose at Bovada and there are two explanations: The absence of high stake
players, who are the ones driving up competition at other online poker rooms. Bovada has
casino, sport and horse betting activities all integrated in one place. The benefit to the good
poker players is that you will find gamblers at the tables coming from these other parts of the
site. Let us be honest. If you serious about online poker, this is the type of players you love to see
at your table, not sharks.
Bovada Poker is geared toward new and casual players, with highly customizable and
easy-to-use software, and plenty of low buy-in Sit and Gos and multi-table tournaments
designed specifically for beginners. The newest software update was designed to appeal to the
recreational player and introduces Anonymous Tables; that do not allow third parties to track
players play using any type of software programs or HUDs. Players Names are completely
hidden (show up as numbers) in all cash, SNG and Tournament play. Also new is the Rabbit
Cam, In-Client Blackjack, and the ability to play 20 MTTs at once. Cash and SNG play is still
limited to 4 tables simultaneously.

Bovada is offering new poker players a 100% match signup bonus. Hit the poker tables and for
